Tree, 10-15  m tall; bark light brown.  Leaves  simple, alternate, ovate to ovate-elliptic, 6-10 by 3-6 cm; apex acuminate, base cuneate, glabrescence; petiole 0.5-1.2 cm with a pair of dotted glands at about the middle.  Inflorescence a paniculate raceme, many flowers. Flowers creamy yellow,  minute; calyx cup-shaped, apical part 5 clefts; densely hairy inside; petal 0; stamens 10; ovary superior. Fruit a nut, 3 winged, 1.5-2.5 by 1-1.5 cm.
