Climber with tendrils, trailing up to 3-5 m long.  Leaves compound, palmate, alteranate; leaflets 2; ovate, 4-15 by 2-6 cm; apex acute, base rounded, margin slightly undulate; middle leaflet forming a tendril.  Inflorescence a panicle, 2-15 flowers.  Flowers yellow, funnel shape; calyx green, cup-shaped; petals connate, fused at base, apical part 5 clefts; light yellow with dark yellow stripe at the throat; stamens 4.  Fruit a capsule, flat, oblong, breaking off bi-valved.
